You’re Invited! To Meeting God in the Garden Retreat

Our prayer is that you read this as an invitation from God! This retreat is about you encountering the presence of God, hearing His gentle whisper, His unique message for you! Sign up for one or all three. Bring a friend! Bring your family! If the sign up is full we would love you to still attend so contact Carrie Pfieffer cdpfieffer@yahoo.com

This retreat will incorporate prayer and work, a mix of physical and spiritual activities: Morning Mass will settle our hearts, stepping outdoors to work silently in the gardens of the Rosary Walk, praying the rosary, and concluding with a short group discussion. The gardening service will be in silence and is meant to be familiar with experiencing God in nature. Retreat schedule is provided in the sign-up link.

The retreat is rain or shine, so dress (bring gloves if you have them) for working outside.
If the weather is uncooperative, we will have indoor activities. Let's step away from material things and retreat closer to God!

WGON invites all “Women Friends in Faith” to
a Prayer Group for Women - Sharing the Word of God
We meet every Monday in room 104 at 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Dear Women of Church of the Nativity, are you seeking friendships, or to deepen existing friendships, through prayer and the bond of spiritual sharing? Have you heard your heart give thanks to the Lord for giving you His Word and wanted to share the joy with your friends? During the last two WGON (Women’s Group of Nativity) Lenten Retreats a hope for a women’s prayer group was revealed.

“…prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy.” St, Therese of Lisieux (CCC2558)

Let’s begin this prayer group as “Women Friends in Faith”, ages 18 years old and above, every Monday, or as often as you can, in room 104 from 10:00 AM- 11:30 AM, or as long as you can, praying sacred scripture, strengthening your relationship with Jesus and each other.

Hesitant? Pray the Holy Spirit Guide you!
Come Holy Spirit, deepen the virtue of prayerfulness in me.
Come Holy Spirit, show me how to be prayerful friend.
Come Holy Spirit, bring me friends who pray.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, and St. Elizabeth, pray for us.

For more information or RSVP (RSVP is not required) call or text Carrie Pfieffer 860-460-1448, or via email cdpfieffer@yahoo.com.

The Women’s Group October Bake Sale

on the 19th-20th will celebrate

National New Friends Day.

As our parish grows, we have multiple opportunities to meet and make new friends. No easier way to do this than to offer to a treat to some one you have just met; purchase two cookies instead of one and share. Or swap a “secret” family recipe with an interested party; a friendship may develop. Come meet the ladies at the tables; introduce yourself; maybe make a friend.

The Women’s Group has chosen The Center of Hope as a church community outreach project.

The Center is a refuge providing advocacy, therapeutic counseling and residential services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking and human trafficking.

It is located in Columbia and has served clients in Maury, Giles, Lawrence and Wayne for 33 years.

First Friday Adoration 9:30am - 6:00pm
Beloved, join us for an hour of adoration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus every first Friday of the month. Receive the 12 promises Jesus gave to Sister Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 16th century, and promises to this day! Add one hour of adoration to communion for Jesus Sacred Heart for one hour repeating each month! Feel the love, and ponder these 12 incredible promises during your hour!
1:  I will give them all of the graces necessary for their state of life.
2: I will establish peace in their homes.
3: I will comfort them in all their afflictions.
4: I will be their strength during life and above all during death.
5: I will bestow a large blessing upon all their undertakings.
6: Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy.
7: Tepid souls shall grow fervent.
8: Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.
9: I will bless every place where a picture of My Heart shall be set up and honored.
10: I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.
11: Those who shall promote this devotion will have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted out.
12: I promise you in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who shall receive communion on the First Friday in nine consecutive months the grace of final penance; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving their sacraments; My divine heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

Sign up for your miracle hour now! Please pray for our priests and religious!
