The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest.  This program encourages youth to engage their creative talent and imagination while understanding the true, spiritual meaning of Christmas.

All children ages 5-12 are invited to participate.

Posters must include the slogan reflecting the topic - Keep Christ in Christmas and be an original work.  See full list of rules on entry form.  A $25 prize will be awarded to the winner of each age group.  All posters must be turned in by 6:30 p.m. on December 13th.

Contest information and a poster drop box can be found in the Narthex.

Consecration to the Holy Family will be December 26th & 27th.  The purpose of this special mass is to strengthen families. The Knights of Columbus invite each family in the parish to consecrate themselves to the Holy Family and to devote themselves to the ideal model of familial love set by Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

In preparation for this celebration, Holy Family Prayer cards will be handed out by a member of the Knights of Columbus following masses on December 19-20.

During the week leading up to the consecration masses, families should pray the prayer on the Holy Family Prayer Card together each day.  In this prayer, we ask for the aid or intercession of the perfect son Jesus Christ, Mary the perfect mother and Joseph, who is a model for every father.

In addition, you are encouraged to fast from something that would normally be consumed and attend confession.

Consecration to the Holy Family is not a single event. It is choosing a way of life for your family. Through this consecration, each participant is consciously choosing to be a beacon of God’s love through his Church.
