May 18/19

The May Bake sale is the weekend of the 18th and 19th.
Our theme for May is "Raising our Church and Community Gardens."
During the 2023-24 season, your generosity has bolstered the growth of the Women's Group's "gardens" of church and community support. It has been through you that WGON has been able to provide a year of service. Thank you; but we are not finished. Please join us in providing the fertilizer needed for continued strong, healthy "flowers."
Thanks for another great year, The Women's Group

Rosebud Program:

Please visit the Elizabeth Ministry's Rosebud Blessing Bouquet located on a table in the Narthex. Take a rosebud and request to have a member of this ministry pray for someone you know to honor pregnancy, unborn babies, celebrate births and adoptions, help grieving families suffering a miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth, or infant or child death, or support a family wanting to conceive or adopt. There's even a rosebud for troubled times and Grandparent concerns.

Quo Vadis Days

This summer we are starting our first annual Quo Vadis Days. The name Quo Vadis is a common name throughout the country for a summer discernment camp. It comes from a story from the early church of a vision that St. Peter had of Jesus when he was tempted to flee during the persecution in Rome. Peter asked Jesus, "Quo Vadis, Domine?" (Where are you going, Lord?). Jesus then asked the same question back to Peter. In a similar way, this summer camp is meant to be an opportunity for our young men to ask and be asked the question, "Where are you going?"
The dates are May 28–31, and it will be held at the Christ Prince of Peace Retreat Center in Benton, TN. It will be run by the seminarians and priests of the diocese. There will be lots of fun outdoor activities and sports, as well as great opportunities for prayer and fraternity as the young men learn how to grow in their relationship with God and discern his call in their life. It is open to young men from rising freshmen through graduating seniors. Registration and more information can be found on our website: https://www.nashvocations.org/qv
