The Bible Timeline: The Story of Salvation

Reading the Bible should bring us closer to Christ, but understanding it is often difficult. The good news is that you can understand the Bible with this 24-part study. Jeff Cavins shows you how 14 of the Bible’s narrative books tell the story from beginning to end and gives you the keys to understanding the amazing story woven throughout Scripture. You will learn the story of our faith through group discussion and a video presentation.

The Bible Timeline will be offered on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm in room 106 beginning August 20, 2024. For more information, please pick up an information flyer and registration form on the table in the Narthex.

Matthew: The King and His Kingdom

The Gospel of Matthew brings the history of Christ to life. We see Jesus as the awaited Messiah who fulfills the promises and prophecies of the Old Testament, establishes the New Law, and inaugurates the kingdom of heaven. Matthew: The King and His Kingdom, a 24-part study (meets weekly), explores how Jesus is challenging and empowering us to a new level of holiness and shows how we must be thoroughly immersed in the kingdom of heaven on earth, the Church.

Matthew: The King and His Kingdom will be meeting on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 in room 104 beginning August 20 OR Wednesday mornings at 9:30 in room 104 beginning August 21. For more information, please pick up an information flyer and registration form on the table in the Narthex.

“Conversion: Following the Call of Christ” with Bishop Robert Barron

7 sessions: Thursdays, September 26 – November 14; 2:30-3:45 PM

Conversion is not a one-time event, but an ongoing, life-long journey of faith. In this study, Bishop Barron uses six biblical stories to demonstrate how six ordinary people experienced a life conversion after they were met by Jesus and called to a better life through him. By exploring these stories, we will come to a deeper understanding of the process of conversion in our own lives, how to discern God’s call to us, how to overcome obstacles that block our answering the call, and the true peace of saying “Yes” to God.

"That Man is You" is coming to COTN

Do you ever feel alone in your faith, wonder whether the world is going in the wrong direction, afraid for your children, struggle with sin or addiction, or feel you have no place to turn? "That Man is You" is a Catholic Men's program that can help you be a better husband, father, grandfather, co-worker, and Catholic. It is a once-a-week reset of your priorities and re-alignment of your attitude which can make the rest of the things you face easier to handle.

The program will be starting this September, right after Labor Day, and goes 13 weeks in the fall, a December break, and then 13 weeks in the spring. You don't have to go to each session, but once you go a few times, you will see benefits in your own life and won't want to miss a week.

The program is 90 minutes long, starting at 7:00 AM sharp on Saturdays, beginning with 30 minutes of fellowship and conversation with brother parishioners, a 30 minute video about relevant topics, and 30 minutes of small group discussion. You will be done before most people wake up on Saturday, so you won't miss any other family obligations or weekend events.
