| Tithing helps the Church |
Meet Its Basic Needs... Fixed expenses must be met every month for building maintenance, utilities, salaries, etc. Through tithing, the church can meet its practical responsibilities without putting a burden on just a few members.
Proclaim The Gospel...
Supporting missions, spreading the good news and building the kingdom for Christ. The needs are many.
Help Those In Need... Combat poverty, hunger, disease, and participate in a wide variety of civic and charitable activities. |

Joy... It is a concrete way to acknowledge God's presence in our lives. Serving, in response to God's grace and generosity, brings a peace and happiness that cannot be achieved through other activities.
Awareness... Sharing concern for others throughout the world allows us to become more sensitive to others' needs and grow closer to God.
Fulfillment... Giving with a loving and generous heart strengthens out sincerity and commitment to Christ. Tithing itself becomes a deeply satisfying way to follow Christ. |

| What potion of God's Gift do you currently give back to God? Use the chart below to find what percentage you are currently giving. Find your income at the left, then move right until you find your weekly offering. What percentage are you giving? Could you make an increase in your giving? It is suggested that the 10% Biblical tithe be distributed as follows: 5% of your total incoe (take home) to your parish, 1% to the Diocese of Nashville, Bishop's Annual Appeal, and 4% to other charities. |

Loving God, I come to You in Thanksgiving,

In Faith and Love, help me to do Your will. I am listening, Lord God.
Speak your words into the depth of my Soul, that I may hear You clearly.
I offer to You this day all the facets of my Life, whether it is at home,
At work, or at school -- to be Patient, to be Merciful, to be Generous, and to be Holy.
Give me the Wisdom and Insight to understand Your Will for me
And the fervor to carry out my Good Intentions. I offer my Gifts of
Time, Talent, and Possessions to you as a true act of Faith,
To reflect my Love for You and my Neighbor.
Help me to reach out to others as you, my God,
Have reached out to me.
